Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA): The DMCA is part of United States copyright law. The Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act (OCILLA) appears in Title II as Section 512. It defines remedies for online copyright infringement and protects content owners by establishing procedures for proper notification to online service providers.
These procedures allow a content owner or authorized representative to send a DMCA Takedown Notice to a service provider and request removal of infringing material from its servers.
Scope: All text, game interfaces, animations, visual assets, brand identity, certificates, bonus mechanics and database design are protected.
